Should Canada renew its commitment to the Kyoto Protocol when it expires in 2012?

  • Absolutely. Even though targets have been difficult to meet, it is imperative that industrial countries reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.
  • Possibly. But if superpowers such as the USA and China cannot meet targets, I worry that a future commitment to Kyoto will put Canada at an economic disadvantage.
  • I don't know. I've never read the Kyoto Protocol, and rely solely on third party information and the media to help understand what a committment means.
  • Possibly not. But I do believe that there must be some protocol in place in order for climate control to occur.
  • Absolutely not. The Kyoto Protocol has been a total failure - as have its 17 fancy follow-up conferences - to do anything important to stop climate change.
